Johanna attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She initially worked as an emergency room nurse before returning to the University of California, Davis, to attend their FNP/PA program, from which she graduated in 1992. Johanna has since worked in family practice for the past 30 years, providing care to patients of all ages—from newborns to geriatrics. She has lived in El Dorado County for the past 25 years, where she raised two sons.

In her free time, Johanna enjoys day hiking in the Sierra Nevadas with family and friends, traveling to all corners of the globe with the Adventure Women organization, and reading novels—especially those focused on history and autobiography.

With extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illnesses, Johanna emphasizes disease prevention and health maintenance in her practice.
