Fall is full of flavor

Fall is in the air! The weather is starting to cool, and the leaves are slowly changing. This is my favorite time of year. Though, it is also the hardest time of year to stick to a diet plan with temptations falling all round.

The lovely folks at Robard have helped us out with this predicament. They have supplied us with a wonderful list of recipes to curb those savory or sweet tooth cravings.

I will be updating you each week with a different recipe fit for the season.

To kick off the season, I decided to target the popular PSL craze we love so much. This Spicy Autumn Smoothie provides only 110 calories, compared to 380 calories per 16oz of the beloved PSL. With only 12 grams of carbohydrates, this fantastic beverage contains 5 grams of fiber and 16 grams of protein. Now this is a craze I can get behind. Spicy Autumn Smoothie

1 pkt                 Vanilla Shake Meal Replacement

¼ cup             Cooked mashed yam or canned pumpkin

1 cup                Water

1/8 tsp.           Nutmeg

1/8 tsp.           Cinnamon

2-6                            ice cubes*

Artificial Sweetener to taste


Combine ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth consistency is achieved (depending on number of ice cubes used).

*use 2 ice cubes for thicker smoothie, 6 for thin texture
